Expanding on this, Krehbiel does seem like he is on the bubble, even with Tate on the DL. The acquisition of Givens is going to make it difficult for him to make the opening day active roster. Plus Gibson/Irvin push Voth and likely Wells to the bullpen. Fangraphs roster tool has Krehbiel in AAA behind the eight man bullpen consisting of:

Bautista, Perez, Baker, Givens, Akin, Wells, Voth (out of options), Politi (Rule 5)

AAA: Krehbiel, Baumann, Vespi when healthy

DL: Tate

Politi may be better than Krehbiel straight up, but I'd rather keep both of them if we can. Vespi may have an advantage over Krehbiel being a lefty, and you could make a good case for Baumann over Krehbiel as well. I could maybe see Krehbiel making the roster if he was lights out in the spring but that moment has already passed.
