New Statcast stat for catchers: Caught Stealing Above Average

Statcast has a new stat out, Caught Stealing Above Average.  It considers not only the result of the play, but the speed of the runner and delivery time of the pitcher.  For 2022-23 combined, Adley comes in at +3, 12th in MLB.  JT Realmuto is miles ahead of the pack at +16; next best is +7.

Adley’s throwing game has really been the only thing I haven’t been enamored with.  He’s perfectly fine - above avg.  but it isn’t a skill that sticks out like some other catchers.

He gets rid of the ball very quickly but he bounces quite a few and is sometimes a little off the bag.  Overall, though, the results are solid, even if not always the prettiest.

I still keep wondering when they're going to put together a defensive runs saved score for first baseman picking throws.
