I'm glad the Orioles are no longer drafting at the top of the 1st round.  It's funny that over the past 4 years of Orioles' draft picks, everyone had their mind on who should be drafted (Rutschman vs Witt, Kjerstad vs Martin, Cowser vs Lawlar, Holliday vs Jones).  I saw somewhere that Dylan Crews is hoping to be drafted by the Nationals and expecting at least $10mil signing bonus.  I think the Orioles would have gone with Skenes this year for the obvious need for pitching and maybe Skenes won’t have that $10mil demand.  On a side note, if the Pirates are scared off by Crews' comments, are they aiming for Skenes anyway or will they go underslot with someone else as they did with Henry Davis in '21?

It would have been a fascinating thing to watch play out. I bet they would have gone with Crews. Skenes would have been tempting though for sure.
