Half is debatable, but there were many more than willing to include him in trade packages. Not even "headline" necessarily. Just as a piece to get a pitcher like Crochet. Even then seeing him crush now, are you trading him for pitching? Absolutely not.

Agreed. Still, a vet probably gets that call after that inning.

Yep - many times the best pitch you're going to see comes in the first or second pitch.   This happens a lot for Ritschmann.

Willing to and wanted to are not the same thing.

Some of us understand that you have to give up quality to get quality.

You aren't getting multiple years of a quality price controlled pitcher without giving up quality in return.
