Fernando for about a 3 month stretch was a very good pitcher for the Orioles in 1993. He was the AL Pitcher of the Month for July of that season.

Yeah, I remember him being surprisingly good...and better than the final stat line showed.  In July, 3-0 with a 1.56 ERA in 40.1 innings.  Only 13 strikeouts against 14 walks.  0.942 WHIP.  

He had a 3.54 ERA in May and a 3.79 in June.  He got clobbered in August for a 13.95 ERA.
