I saw a report that a potential trade could be made.  The proposal :

White Sox trade Luis Robert

Orioles trade Bradfield Jr, Nunez and Fabian.

What does the board think?  Personally i vote yes.

I don’t even like Bradfield that much and I wouldn’t do this trade

    • The Dodgers won 4 years ago in a World Series entirely played 1000+ miles from LA, in front of a handful of mostly non-Dodger fans, after a 60 game season.   To say that their fans are somehow spoiled by that is a stretch, IMO.   They haven't won a real championship in 36 years. And the prior championship to 1988 was 1981, following a 100-ish game split season where no games were played in June or July due to a player's strike. So in the last 58 years, the Dodgers have ONE championship that followed a legitimate full baseball season.   To characterize their fans as having had it like the Chiefs and Patriots is not accurate.   I think that bias against the LA payroll plays into the impression.
    • Good question. My favorite NFL team has been the Dolphins for the last 35 years. And I have pretty much lost interest in the NFL.  Part of that is the coverage being rammed down our throats, even in the offseason. Part of it is the Dolphins not even winning a single playoff game in 24 years (!!).  And part of it is the same teams and fanbases (New England and now Kansas City) winning championships.  I don't see much value anymore in following a league or team if your team never gives you anything in return.  The Orioles have produced a bad ROI (relative to other teams) over the last 40 years, but the Dolphins are next level bad.  I know the Chiefs won last year, but I don't know the score or anything about how it played out and I don't find the Super Bowl interesting anymore.  I really don't mind the Dodgers that much as a team or organization. They did just win 4 years ago so their fans don't deserve anything like Rangers fans did last year, but I respect how well they are run and I am impressed with their hitting approach and plate discipline.  Better them than the Yankees, although I love watching Soto and Stanton hit.
    • "Luck" Man those teams that spend money sure are "lucky".  And the teams that don't spend are REALLY unlucky, to the tune of never winning anything, ever.    World Series Winner Team Total Rate 24 Payroll Top 3 12/35 34.3 256 Top 5 14/35 40 242 Top 8 18/35 51.4 226 Top 10 21/35 60 207 Top 12 27/35 77.1 176 Top 15 29/35 82.9 144 Top 18 33/35 94.3 133 Top 20 34/35 97.1 123 Top 25 35/35 100 101 Top 30 35/35 100           World Series Loser Team Total Rate 24 Payroll Top 3 6/35 17.1 256 Top 5 10/35 28.6 242 Top 8 14/35 40 226 Top 10 17/35 48.6 207 Top 12 20/35 57.1 176 Top 15 25/35 71.4 144 Top 18 25/35 71.4 133 Top 20 29/35 82.9 123 Top 25 32/35 91.4 101 Top 30 35/35 100
    • Loved him as a kid and then was unreasonably excited when the Orioles signed him. I randomly called the box office on gameday for a Saturday or Sunday start and they hooked me up with awesome seats behind home plate for the price a college kid could afford. I dove down half a flight of stairs to get a foul ball he pitched - I still have that ball on my shelf next to my other Os memorabilia. RIP 🐐
