  1. That would be great if he accepted it. Would love to see him, Gunnar, Holliday, and Basallo (when he gets here) wrapped up to nice deals. That is a great core to build a team around.
  2. Maybe it's me, but 10 years seems like a lot for a 29 year old catcher. I would definitely consider offering a long term deal to Adley, but I would want it to be more of a 7 or 8 year deal. That would take him into his 33 or 34 year old season.
  3. I believe this criteria has been met!
  4. Yeah...as much as I give the benefit of the doubt to Elias, this boggles the mind. The only plus about it is it's only 1 million and not the 8 million that was spent on Frazier last season.
  5. Yup. He'd be fine. Look at Gunnar...
  6. I've been an advocate for Montgomery, but I like your take. I only want Montgomery on a 1 or 2 year deal.
  7. Would love to see it. Putting him between Burnes and GRod would be awesome.
  8. I'm interested in following Mac Horvath. Great OBP and some pop.
  9. Sure hope so! Every time I see activity on this thread I'm hoping it's to announce the sale is officially completed.
  10. I'm not very optimistic about either.
  11. Spring training may help a younger guy get noticed by some people who may not have seen them before. But overall, I think almost all of these guys have a pretty good idea where they are going before they arrive in Florida/Arizona.
  12. I'd have no problem with this. There is enough versatility with the infield that this shouldn't be a problem.
  13. Agreed. If by mid-season he's still struggling in Aberdeen, then I'll be concerned.
  14. Wow...Tony ranked higher than such notables as Mark Teixiera, Cito Gaston, Rich Garcia, and Keith Law. Wonder how that could be?
  15. I think they've made great strides under Elias. That new facility in the DR isn't going to hurt, either.
  16. Baumann has better "stuff". I think Tate is ok, but I would not want him in high-leverage situations.
  17. Personally, I'd just prefer another good reliever...don't care if they are left-handed or right-handed. Perez and Coulombe are fine in their roles.
  18. Sorry...but who are you comparing to Urias?
  19. Just thinking of a Burnes/Bradish/Rodriguez top of the rotation sounds pretty dominant to me. Heck, it actually might be a Rodriguez/Burnes/Bradish 1-2-3.
  20. Agreed. Lorenzen doesn't move the needle. If you are going to acquire a pitcher, acquire one that's a difference maker.
  21. Agree with this. I prefer Irvin in the rotation over Wells. Like I said earlier in this thread...I think Wells' stuff will play up a bit in the pen.
  22. Agree with you, Greg. I trust Wells in the pen more than anyone other than Kimbrel. I think his stuff will play up in the pen.
