  1. This year, every pick in the first two rounds signed by Saturday evening, two days before the 5 p.m. ET deadline Monday. 2022 MLB Draft signing deadline picks unsigned ~7.5 hours to go.
  2. I didn't have cable and listened to this on AM radio.
  3. I think there is a tax, but no picks. Something like 20%, so an additional cash requirement of like 160k on that 800k. Edit: this says 75% https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-draft-2022-bonus-pools-pick-values
  4. This seems like another vote of Fabian getting full slot.
  5. Well, it's 8,189,400 vs 8,190,000 in the tweet posted but Holliday could be rounded since decimals aren't posted. But the numbers posted above are $600 different.
  6. Certainly doable. Considering how often we go pitching in the early rounds (clearly not often) and how many players that they can fix (often) I don't expect we will see the punt 4-10 approach. So I don't see a time they'll fall for a Porter or other P so much that they punt the other rounds.
  7. Can someone teach me how to do this?
  8. They do need a catcher there. However, in fairness I'd rather Rutschman just keep the job and not see him again. Haha
  9. I'll remember him for the tag late in the game yesterday. Awesome play.
  10. We went last minute to yesterday's game (which was pretty awesome) and had considered today's instead. Sad we missed the debut, but glad he's been called up.
  11. Not a ton. But my point was he likely had more sentimental value. So I feel like we agree he wouldn't net much.
  12. I have a hard time believing Mancini would bring back a big return. If we talk about maintaining fan support than he is the guy you keep (and there aren't many fans coming. So maybe it doesn't matter). Lowest return of the bunch and easily the most recognized player. Losing Mullins and/or Hays would hurt, but if the package coming back was big enough, I think it would help. Especially if its for guys that are closer to the majors. Ultimately, keeping Mancini would be sentimental vs baseball decision and I get that. However, if it's just for a few more low A guys that are lotto tickets I just don't see it being worth it. Obviously, it always depends on the return, I just see Mancini's to have more sentimental value and Hays/Mullins to have more trade/return value.
  13. 3 most impactful calls against the Os. Interesting as well.
  14. I would argue pitch 4(strike 1 of the at bat) was a ball, but he was calling that a strike more consistently calling 6 inches right off the plate much of the evening. It was probably the worst strike/ ball calling over a full game I've seen in a while.
  15. If best case scenarios don't happen, I rooting for a 4th or 5th worst finish only to get the 1st pick anyway. Some heads would roll and it would be fantastic.
  16. I find the differences for this final power ranking interesting. Several guys listed in this thread A Wells (23), Brnovich (26), Mundy (27), Hernaiz (29) sub 30, while a few like Servideo (41) and Rangel (42) got decent jumps. I know little beyond these lists, but I can see why a few are surprised but some of these differences. edit: talking about this list. Links can be helpful...
  17. The team hopefully asked him as part of that decision. I'd rather be playing baseball with my teammates, then sitting at home and wondering. Clearly, the baseball suffered in this case, but maybe it's what he needed. On a team that wasn't about wins and loses, I hope it was his decision to play.
  18. Their care has certainly been far more focused for draft/international signings. At least this year the international signings are off-season, so there should be a bit more to talk about this winter. Hopefully it isn't limited to that.
  19. I see you in the 71-75 option. So yeah, you missed. Haha. So did pretty much everyone else though (I was 61-65).
  20. I’m more concerned with potential changes to competitive balance picks. I’d be curious to know what’s on the table for the new CBA.
