You cant teach speed, but you can sometimes teach base running and stealing. We need a Brady type that was an excellent base path guy to teach those things to Mullins. At 26, he should still be young to be still be teachable.

Hammonds stayed healthier more than Reimold was able to. How many guys would accept a 13 year with 957 games, if they knew that up front? I suspect most of them would.

I agree, he was a needle mover, it made the Birds, even stronger. But, I think more importantly it kept Miller out of Detroit Land. Where they had a really good team, with the exception of their pen.

as Roch hints this team is ready to draft another catcher. Of course, it does sound like they like his bat, and not necessarily that he stays a catcher.

This was a proud fanchaize and look back. Last WS was 1983 Good 2 year run in 96-97 Decent 5 year 2011-2016 or maybe 2012-2017. Too many sorry arse years in between and a few more years on the radar screen
