Not needed. Buck is not that sentimental.

But save O'Day...see what Wilson has, get over the butterflies when it is effectively 5-0...I don't know, seems to make sense to give him his shot now. But Buck loves the win rule. :)

What does being "sentimental" have anything to do with it? He was warming both. They extended the lead to 5. How wide did the lead have to be to bring Wilson in?

It's possible that he was just "getting work in" because he hasn't pitched in a while and his designated he role (until we need a 6th starter next Thu) is that of guy who comes in if the starter is knocked out real early.

Save him for what? He has needed to work into his groove. He has been a bit homer prone.
