If you look at his stats he hasn't been too consistent' date=' in 2013, 2014 his OBP has been hovering at or below .300 and OPS has been .751 or below. So over all 2 bad andwiched by 2 good years in 2012 (Rookie) and 2015. Would you give him $20MM AAV?[/quote']

This. Plus he is a very poor fundamental player. A bonehead so to speak. How long do you think that will go well with the Buckster? OK, thanks for playing along.

@Rotoworld_BB: Heyward deal believed to be less than $185M tinyurl.com/zuh5fjt

Yea so Chris....about that 200million you think you're getting

Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times reports that Jason Heyward's contract with the Cubs is for less than $185 million and is "believed to be eight years."

The structure of it will be important, obviously, as many expect the deal to include an opt-out clause and it could be front-loaded. Still, on the surface it doesn't look bad at all when Heyward was expected to get $200+ million. Heyward is poised to serve as the Cubs' center fielder at the moment, although the club could wind up trading Jorge Soler for pitching help, which would allow Heyward to move to right field.

Looks like its for 8 years...23.1MM AAV

Davies 7/150.....21.4MM AAV, seems like Market to me if you believe in the advanced Metrics crap for Heyward

I would now offer Davis a generous 6/$125.
