Nice article by Melewski and nice to know that others see this in Schoop and not just "our guys".

Already an above average with the glove at 2nd, if he can improve his hitting, WAHOO, he will be a brighter spot on the diamond for this team.

Lemme guess.... Melewski.

The Orioles could also be headed for 133 wins.

Yes, Melewski is a homer, but how do you account, for Schoop being on DD's no-trade list, and other teams are asking for him?

This is another encouraging sign:

Schoop in 2014: .209 average, .244 OBP, .354 slugging, .598 OPS, 65 OPS+

Schoop in 2015: .279 average, .306 OBP, .482 slugging, .788 OPS, 110 OPS+

I ticked him off pretty badly last week on Twitter.

He actually suggested I stop commenting and reading his stuff.

Evidently he doesn't like to be reminded that he works for the team he "reports" on.

As for Schoop (can we get the title fixed?) he won't be a star unless he can control the strike zone better.

When he hits it, which is not often.

He does, however catch and throw the ball fantastically. I think he's a much better defensive player than offensive player.

He has really great range for 2nd, and I love his glove work as part of the double play combinations.

Playing with plus defenders at 3rd, SS and 1st, has to help him, play at a higher level.
