Kevin Gausman looks like he has finally taken that step forward that many people believed he was capable of - I'll admit I was not one of those people. This is not the same pitcher from the beginning of the season, he seems to have a lot more confidence and is attacking hitters a lot more consistently. Damn glad to see it, damn glad to be wrong. We needed this performance tonight, and no matter what happens from here on out, Gausman has really shown something.

I'm with you! I had my doubts! Maybe we will have our two aces after all!

He looked to be laboring. His stuff is still good though. I'm okay with it only if Buck has someone in the bullpen ready.

Just what I know of Buck from watching him for years. I don't think he'll send him back out there.

Whether or not he should is a different discussion.
