Why the heck didn't Maddon ph for Rondon with a runner (the tying run) on 2nd?

He had at least one bat on the bench (if not two).

It's pretty baffling. They win 200 games between 2015 and 2016, but for whatever reason in 2017 everyone is struggling.With this line up the fact that Bryant only has like 35RBI is just ridiculous. The defense has taken colossal leaps backwards. Somehow with the rest of baseball hitting HRs at a record rate that hasn't benefitted any Cub whatsoever. To make matters worse it really looks like the Cubs are going to pick up Verlander and it kind of makes me want to vomit.
