Tony, the entire day I kept getting a pop ups on here on my phone. Just wanted to tell you. I am not the sharpest when it comes to fixing it. Other websites on my phone were fine.

I've had this problem too.

Gausman didn't pitch well, but I have to wonder how he would have fared with defenders behind him.

The ball that Votto hit to RF in the first is caught by 90% of the RF'ers in the ML and 50% of the RF'ers in my slow pitch softball league. Trumbo is the worst OF'er I have ever seen get more than 30 inning in a ML outfield. Them Manny can't play a bad hop grounder, Schoop can't glove a grounder up the middle. The whole thing just snow balled, but the O's defense was horrible again.

Sorry, we got rid of the network that we thought was causing this. this is the first time I've heard this in a while. We'll take a look. I've been on my pad all day with no issues so not sure.

I've been having the problem recently as well.  Only on my iPad and only on Orioles Hangout.  Pretty sure Safari for mobile devices is part of the problem.

Very disappointing start.

We need him to be better than this.

Tillman may not be back to 100% at any point this year, Ubaldo is still Ubaldo and who even knows with Miley (although so far so good) so we really need Kevin and Dylan to be there most every night if we are going to stay with the Red Sox all year.

I have faith that he will improve as the season progresses.

Here in Germany I never have a problem. When I was in the States between March 30th and April 9th, I had my OH visits hijacked at least 50 times (using Chrome, on IOS). I returned home, and the problem ended.

It happens with Safari and Chrome for me.

It's my understanding (and I'm not a web expert) is that all browsers on iOS need to use the Safari engine.  I know I would have the same problem on Opera as well.  I'm not sure about Chrome, I don't use it and it's Google, etc.  Interesting that it doesn't show up in Europe.

It happens to me on here and on Baseball Reference.  OH has been working fine for me today, though.

There are two things from what I can tell. You have a malware on your apple device that is kicked off by adsense network (which we run) and the Sonobi ad network we were using. I use Samsung products and have no issues since I got rid of Sonobi. That leaves the malware issue and unfortunately there's not a lot we can do about other people's devices. There is a conversation on this in the help forum. Hopefully that can help.

The people who create these malwares are really the worse people in the world. Why would anyone support a pop up advertisement anyways?

Unfortunately it's an Apple thing and there's nothing we can do but get rid of adsense and unfortunately, that's a revenue stream we can;t afford to get rid of right now. Maybe we can offer an ads free plus membership. I'll have to look into that.

Thanks for the response and explanation. Maybe I'll just pick up a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 next time I visit the States. I hear those things are the bomb! ;)

I agree wholeheartedly about the authors of malware.  I'll check out the help forum and also have a word with a couple of the web developers at the company I work to see if there's a solution other than wiping the device and starting over.  Presumably my iCloud backup would also be infected?  Miserable people...

I know people don't want to hear this again but its so true that we have the worst RF's in baseball prolly.  All of this because DD would not sign Markakis.  Just think how we would not be on this merry-go-round of OF's if we had just paid the man.

    • Just woke up and I don't hear any wind or rain.
    • Not that I am in any way full agreement, but this is a classic post.  Doesn't Machado play chess?  Maybe we could get some chess boards in the clubhouse and junk all the legos.  Not all great baseball men are John McGraw bad asses.  Some can be Christy Mathewsons as well, I suppose.  Not that I imagine today's young players much resembling McGraw or Mathewson, but they are the first two contrasting old school types that come to mind.  I will say just based on his postseason alone I'd much rather have Tatis over Machado.
    • Well I refuse to believe that only the O's have no players that want extensions.
    • Customer advocate groups have tried for decades to force the cable companies to allow channel by channel (a la carte) subscriptions, but the cable companies fought this because it would result in far less revenue (than forcing us to pay for a hundred channels we don't watch).  The government refused to intervene, so we've been stuck with the existing business model for all this time.  Streaming is forcing the change because streaming -- for now -- is an a la carte model.   MLB's fear must be this: if the regional sports network cable channel model goes away, will most users pay anywhere close to what these channels made as part of a cable bundle for just one streaming channel where all you watch are Orioles games (or maybe Orioles and Nats games -- whatever the case may be)?  So if you pay $100/month for cable with MASN, you are probably watching at least a few other channels too.  But will you pay $15/month (or whatever the price may be) just to watch the Orioles -- even during the months when there is no baseball?  The existing basic cable model has been quite stable because people tend to watch at least 5 or 6 channels.  They're reluctant to cancel their whole cable package just because baseball season is over -- or they've been too busy to watch many games this season.  But with a single streaming channel of just baseball there is bound to be a far more unstable revenue base.  All the streaming channels are already dealing with this problem.  I think MLB is maybe reluctant to go all in on streaming for this reason.  Perhaps they're looking for new different model that could allow them to bundle individual team channels with Netflix, or Prime, or maybe with your cell phone plan or something else.  This could give them some stability, but it could also be a turn off for the more hardcore fans who just want the Orioles and little else.  It will be interesting to see how this all shakes out and if MLB, and the Orioles, will prosper or suffer as a result.
