This infield defense is not as good as it used to be. Maybe some confirmation bias is involved, plus maybe so bad timing that accentuates bad plays, and maybe some interaction with bad pitching...but it used to be decidedly above average...elite for long stretches. It isn't anymore.

Even just step and lean into your tag. You can't sit there and just assume these guys are going to stop, stand still and surrender. It's just taking a play for granted. Obviously, didn't lead to any additional damage, but that is a really demoralizing play.

I'm seriously contemplating going with an O's affiliate hat next season.  Maybe Bowie, depends on how the rosters shake out.

Aquino pitched well enough to get 5 outs in that inning, maybe 6.

Machado's error at 3rd base, the missed tag on the rundown, and an unfortunate bloop double to open the inning.
