I think the only way to judge McPhail as a drafter is past history...

In all honesty, particularly nowadays, the GM has less and less to do with the draft. Jordan basically runs the show. Maybe he has some cost limitations put on him and he could be directed toward certain types of guys . . . but MacPhail isn't scouting these kids.
