We have faced some very tough pitching so far.

Trumbo was awful last year.  Let’s not pretend Trumbo coming back improves the offense.

Don't pretend you know Trumbo is going to be awful again. A performance midway between what he did in 2016 and 2017 would significantly improve the O.

5 guys in the lineup today hitting below .200. Every pitcher we face is a tough pitcher.

Gentry, Santander, and Sardinas are subs and Joseph soon will be. Davis has gone 9 for 36 with 3 walks. Do you think Beckham's going to be around the Mendoza Line all season?

Y's have  three sub-.200 hitters in their lineup today, incl. G. Sanchez .191, G. Stanton .185. Come June I'd wager they won't have any.

What if he’s more like the 2016 version this year?    Or, merely the career average version of Trumbo?    Improving on the current production isn’t hard.   Heck, Trumbo’s .686 OPS from last year looks Ruthian compared to the .471 we’re getting from Santander.

"Ruthian?" That degree of hyperbole is too much. Mark Trumbo should never be mentioned in comparison with any of the all-time greats of the game.

Maybe, "Tartabullian."
"Incaviglian."
"Canseco-esque."

How do we even have 5 wins?
