Both Hays and Diaz are corner OFers who can play CF in a pinch, but they're not CFers.  So the 3rd OFer should be a CFer, or we're going to be handicapping our pitchers - which would be a very bad thing.

Right now, I think the penciled-in 2020 OF (maybe post-ASB) is Diaz-McKenna-Hays as the regulars with Mullins as the 4th OF who pretty much always plays one of the spots against RHP.  Stewart is likely a DH/bench bat and starts sometimes in LF against RHP.

The first three guys get something like 500 - 600 PA each (occasionally playing in the DH spot), while Mullins gets something like 350 - 400.

Projecting McKenna to get 500 or more at bats in Baltimore next year is a bit aggressive. If things go well for him this season he will split the year between Bowie and Norfolk. I don’t see them rushing him with the glut of more advanced outfielders we will likely have in Baltimore. I’m thinking second half of 2020/start of 2021 if he continues to make progress. He could easily do a full season in Bowie and a full one in Norfolk next season.

You’re right. My numbers were based on split/share over a full season.

With Trumbo gone there is no reason for Mancini to spent more than about 20 innings in the outfield in 2020.

That makes sense, and I think the focus has to be on 2020, because we know 2019 may be a historically bad season.
