Weaver did not shun the stolen base, as some presume.

 

The 1973 Orioles led the league in stolen bases while winning the AL East. 

Reggie Jackson set a career high for stolen bases (28) in his lone season playing for the Orioles in 1976. 

The late Don Baylor stole 32, 29, and 32 bases respectively in the 1973, 1974, and 1975 seasons.
