I guess it should surprise nobody that Mike Trout is carrying an 84.8% career success rate.  Is there anything that guy doesn’t do well?    Last year he was 24 of 26 (92.3%).

Three things Mike Trout doesn't do well

1) Market himself.  Trout markets himself really poorly.

2) Trout has never saved a stray dog like Alex Cobb...and if he did...

3) See #1

Cobb could hate all creatures great and small if it would mean he could stay off the disabled list.

Trout just doesn’t or hasn’t shown an electric personality like Griffey Jr.

Also doesn’t help that baseball seemed to have a better grasp on how to market players in the 90’s than they do today.

Byron Buxton to the fore with insane 91 % steal %:

He isn’t listed on BB-ref because their threshold to qualify is 80 attempts and Buxton only has 54.    As an aside, I wonder why he doesn’t steal more often.    Per BB-ref, he only attempts a steal on about 16% of his opportunities, compared to 32% for Billy Hamilton.    On the other hand, I guess that’s why his success rate is so high, because he’s selective.
