Will Elias be able to improve the O's starting pitching this off season?

I think the best we can hope for is a guy like Smyly on a ML deal and a guy like Tyson Ross on a MiL deal.

Ideally we've got 4 spots locked up with Means, Cobb, Yojo, and Akin. 2 Rule 5's to compete as well. I dunno that we need a TON more options. I think 2 more would do it.

I think Elias needs to add three more  minor league/major league starters by a few day after opening day just to cover the injuries that occur normally every season.

I’ll necro this old thread, because there’s not a good FA thread out here: I really like the Blue Jays attack on Asian free agency. That’s two players now added to their 40-man from Japan/South Korea. The Orioles should be trying something like that.

I also wanted to comment that I wish the Orioles targeted demographically appropriate players; and by that I mean, Toronto is heavily asian, Miami is very Hispanic... would love to see the O’s embrace more black players as a predominantly black city, as those other cities have with theirs. Lamar Jackson probably did a world of good for this city by being an amazing black QB, giving hope to a community that is really lacking in that department. Adam Jones was perfect for this team.
