Jomboy discusses differences he notes about the way the game is played today versus what he observes in Game 5 of the 1969 World Series. I found it to be a quite interesting analysis and seeing the old footage from the game was enjoyable.

B-Ref link magic inspired by the video and it teaching me Yogi Berra was on the Mets staff that unfortunate Fall Classic.

Manager Gil Hodges had Yogi Berra and Eddie Yost both on staff.     All the guys were in their early mid 40's and of course Earl was super young.

I kind of thought Walking Man Eddie Yost was further into the past, and surprised to discover he was still just turning 43 in October 1969 but some of it was he made his MLB debut at age 17 during 1944.    Take that, Ethan Salas!
