Announced on his blog. No link, sorry.

HOF voting in 5 years will be very interesting.

I he one of my most hated players. Him and Moose are both going to be question marks in my mind. I am hoping he doesn't get in.

His career value is about the same as Bert Blyleven's. But with three 20-win seasons, the bloody sock, and the Red Sox cap I'm sure he'll be giving a Cooperstown speech in five years while Bert won't have had to take any leave from coaching the Dutch pitchers.

You said it Drungo. Blyleven had 2 rings, but Schilling has 3 and more importantly, he helped the Sox "reverse the curse". That alone would have gotten him in hands down, first ballot, unanimous induction.

His post season resume carries him to HOF in my opinion.

A lot of people compare him to Bert, Jack Morris, Orel etc... and I think they are just comparisons. But the fact that Schilling basically carried 3 different teams to the WS says a lot about what type of pitcher he was.
