I guess when we're playing the Yankees, blow a 5-1 lead including a 9th inning save, leave the bases loaded in the 8th with one of the worse at bats you will see from Austin Hays in a key moment, then win in the 10th, people like to comment.

The 26.5K posts in the game thread last night is the most this season, and almost 10K more than opening day's game thread. What a wild ride of emotions and always a good time!

I would assume away games probably get more posts and views with a lot of the posters at the home games compared to away games.

And ONE "craphead" upon further review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In my defense, he swung at three of these pitches, including that last one.

That is not a veteran at bat with the bases loaded. That is a choke at bat. That was an unprepared at bat. That was one craphead at bat! :D

It was like he lost his mind when Misiewicz threw the perfect strike in the first pitch. That is just not the kind of at bat a veteran should have in that situation.

Actually I've noticed a lot of guys posting from the park at home games. They just can't quit us.

You know, I never really looked at the differences in views/posts between home vs away. Typically it's the close games like this where lots of dramatic things keep happening that get the most. I know some Hangouters are on here while at the game, but they post less than when they're home.

Oh, I saw it. It was an objectively terrible at bat in an enormous situation.

    • The outfield might be slick from all the rain. I think that can influence lineup decisions.
    • @Bahama O's Fanor a free trial of any streaming platform. YouTube TV, Directtv, etc.
    • I’ve been rending my garments over Adley and his struggles for months now. But I will say that it seems like a bit of an odd time to come together as a group on the notion of benching him — just as he’s been starting to show some signs of being Adley again.  Over the last week of the season, Adley had a 50% hard hit rate and an average EV of 89.9 MPH. Those numbers absolutely dwarf what he was doing for months, when he was sitting at more like a 26% HH rate and an 85 MPH EV. Anecdotally, I can’t even remember the last time we saw Adley drive a ball into the left-center gap like he did multiple times against MIN. That’s Adley at his very best, and it was a sight for sore eyes.  I’m not sold that he’s 100% back, and I would still stick with McCann catching Burnes tomorrow (especially since using Adley as the DH is viable with a LHP starter in Ragans). But I sincerely doubt we can run the table without at least a few stretches of Adley being Adley — so I think this recent spurt is probably enough to warrant sending him out there every day still, in hopes that he really is getting it locked back in.
    • Apparently, if you just waited to buy tickets, you could just basically go for free. Well done orioles.
    • Well, they likely would not have drafted an overslot SS with the second round pick if they had taken another HS SS first overall, so would you rather have Henderson and Rutschman or just Witt?
    • It’s my understanding that nationally televised games are usually blacked out. Consider a free trial subscription of Fubo if they are still offering it.
    • The Orioles starters absolutely have to do better against the Royals. You can't ask this bullpen to pitch most of the game and expect to win. Right now I probably trust Coulombe the most and Soto (which I never would have guessed a couple weeks back). Perez has been really shaky recently to the point I'm wondering is he nursing a tired arm or minor injuey. Cano hasn't been good as well and O's really need him to get back into a groove. And Akin is usually trustworthy, but only starting the inning clean.
