Looking at the replay, kindly supplied by IHeartMASN, I'm pretty sure the ball hit the fence, not Morgan's glove. Which makes sense, in that he'd probably have felt it hit the glove and then drop--and gone after it.

Edit:Pause the replay at right at the 6 second mark, it hits his glove.
