  1. It seems like it changes nearly every year! (Insert a OPACY lease joke here).
  2. Always appreciate Sara Langs’ breakdowns. She’s a stat geek who takes the time to explain the context of a given stat to those trying to keep up.
  3. You would have to think if his stock falls to the point of signing a split contract we would be the favorite. He has a long relationship with our AAA manager!
  4. Is “hashtag Orioles Army” his first idea? Haven’t seen it before. Seems a bit lame not original or cutting edge.
  5. I like the narrative BUT, Hyde’s MOY selection isn’t confirmed. Hate to see Hyde lose his shot to earn that honor by pissing off folks in the media capital.
  6. I feel Anthony is now and can continue to be a very good complementary player on a playoff caliber team. Need to be satisfied that he can be the next Ken Singleton. (Adley and Gunnar can be Eddie and Cal.)
  7. Certainly glad Odor was in the lineup so Bradish didn’t have to leave to a no decision!
  8. Per Roch, promoted to Aberdeen today….. https://www.masnsports.com/orioles-rss/orioles-and-astros-lineups-and-notes Good reward for FB’s performance while coincidentally creating room at Delmarva for Holliday.
  9. Random thoughts……. Opening series coincides with Passover and Easter. The Friday off day coincides with the grand reopening of the remodeled Baltimore Arena. First performance will be Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band. They are my other passion, I have my ticket! Here’s hoping we knock the NYY’s out of the postseason this year to add spice!
  10. I wasn’t a local (or Oriole fan) back when Davey Johnson played here but he certainly was referred to as “Davey” when he returned as manager. I think “Cedric” will eventually overtake “Mullins” the longer he has a successful career here. Loved the interview with Eddie in the TV booth with Kevin Brown and Ben McDonald during the 30th anniversary game. He twice gave a shout out to “Alvin” (Jim Palmer) who was absent.
  11. Dodgers designated Bannon today ‘ya want him back?
  12. Nope, he’s here for the duration.
  13. Sig to Mike: “Stowers had that grand slam tonight” Mike to Sig: “We’re ridin with Roughie baby!”
  14. Good points, looking at BBRef upon Henderson’s ascension to #1 overall, that Tatis jr extension scared me, 14/340 with the age 30-35 years @ 36M ea! (Tatis is not a Boras client btw)
  15. Speaking to Henderson specifically, how much influence does Boras have in guiding Henderson (and in turn the Orioles) toward keeping Henderson at shortstop? It would seem the ability to stay at SS dramatically impacts a future payday.
  16. Odor pretty much shut down 3B talk in spring training letting it be known he was “uncomfortable” there. Lots of big names around MLB being DFA’d since the deadline. Vavra breaks in hot. Odor sees a need to become “comfortable”.
  17. OH featuring Tinman, Eeyore ????? Is it all a dream ????? I must quickly check the standings !!!!! Maybe it’s all just a dream
  18. Well the hitting coaches got a good look at 2 K’s today. No off day tomorrow for them!
  19. Holliday is listed due to his youthful hubris during the presser when he said he’d be in MLB in two years. Since the poll isn’t who will be the opening day SS 2024 I threw him in just in case he comes up mid season. As for Westburg, I can’t edit the poll and add him at this point. Type WESTBURG and I will tabulate.
  20. Feel free to give your thoughts on what will happen to the players you don’t choose.
  21. Only excuse, his wife is having contractions, otherwise I retract my commentary on pg 9.
  22. Both Henderson at Norfolk and Ortiz at Bowie are having big nights tonight. If Holliday was legal they could tell him hold our beers!
  23. Vavra up to O’s, Ortiz up to Tides?
