Do you have a source for this? was it a tweet? This seems like a pretty big deal if MASN isn't paying their employees to cover spring training this year. My respect for MASN would go down even further (and my respect for Roch would greatly increase) if we are sure this is true. Roch is definitely there. He is tweeting out pictures from the stadium today.

Yeah it's strange. I'm used to seeing him make a bunch of cracks about waiting at the airport.......taking a flight...........worrying about what to put in his mini fridge in FL, heh. You would be watching it on MLB.TV. So you just need a device that can use that app (video game console, Fire stick, Roku, smart TV, etc) and there are a plethora of those that can easily plug into a TV.

I am not the one saying that they should build this team one particular way and if they don't do it that way then they are morons. I am aware there are multiple ways to build a team. Elias has been clear what path he has chosen since 2018, and he has been consistent. I just think that complaining about it week after week, month after month, for a year or more is not likely to accomplish very much. I don't see him being fired for example or changing his mind.

It's a strategy that has led to 5 straight ALCS appearances (3 WS appearances) for at least one team. Is it guaranteed to work here? No. This is professional sports..........where absolutely nothing is guaranteed. But there is no reason why it can't work here. Dismissing it as moronic is infantile and closed-minded.

DL Hall and I don't think it's particularly close. For similar reasons as Kjerstad but he's a pitcher with already a serious arm injury under his belt.

Looks like the Orioles 2012 payroll was over $80M. Inflation issues notwithstanding..... in 2021 our payroll was like $45M to 50M. Do you expect our payroll to basically double next year? I do not. It would be a surprise to me if it breaks 65M.

It's time to shift the paradigm. If out of this dispute we ever hope to climb.

OK things just got real for me.

Also their top player is a 6 WAR SS that they drafted and developed having his best season ever at the age of 34. His career OPS is .727. This year it is .895. Good for them! Maybe there is something going on there with coaching......who knows.

Giants are great at finding washed up SP candidates that have bounced from team to team.......signing them in FA and then having them pitch like Cy Young award candidates.
