It's one thing to have a rah-rah speech before a game to pump up a bunch of roided out football players. It's another to pump up a bunch of baseball players before the start of a season.

Especially because most of these players are not from Baltimore, and probably don't give a rats fat a.. about Ray Lewis and his stupid dance, or his attempt at a Tony Robbins type motivation.

This is just silly. Everyone from all walks of life whether a ditch digger or a Five-Star General responds to leadership. And if it is one thing that Ray Lewis will always be known for, it is his ability to inspire by his unquestioned gift of leadership.

This is just wrong.

Ray Lewis can come in and motivate any group of guys. On top of that, he can talk about what it takes to win, having chemistry, etc...

Some people just have that knack to be able to do that. Ray is one of those people.

Football lends itself to the rah-rah much more than baseball. I honestly think the players would laugh uncontrollably if a guy tried the Ray Lewis routine to pump people up. Think kevin millar, as we know he would do that as caricature of himself, which nobody took seriously, even Kevin himself.

I don't think Ray would get everyone in a circle, have them jump up and down and things like that.

It can just be passionate and talk to them as men.

Motivate them for what time period, though?

For a football game? Ok. But for an entire baseball season? No.

That's the issue.
