Yeah, but I doubt that's what he meant. He said something like "I'm actually starting to like Simon! He's pitching well! I've learned not to trust too many of them!". I assume he meant something like "I've learned not to trust Oriole pitchers" but it still sounded kind of bad/funny out of context. He's just bad with words--nothing more.

I think you are right. We're a pretty high-strung society when it comes to racism and political correctness, so I can understand how someone may have interpreted it that way ........ but I think he meant pitching-wise.
