I know bunting to break up a no-hitter is taboo, but let's say your team is down 1-0 in the ninth and a no hitter is going on. Do you bunt for a baserunner? I mean, you want to win the game, right?

1-0 you do what you need to do to win the game.

I don't recall specifics. I don't think it was a one run game.

I just looked it up. It was SD vs. Arizona in 2001 and Ben Davis bunted in the 8th inning against Schilling. Of course Arizona cried about it but the score was 2-0 at the time.

Absolutely.

If you're down 6-0 it is unnecessary, and makes you look bad, but it is never against any rule.
