I know 2 years of club control, but I do think it may play out 1. It will be a lot of HR/RBI, and the usual arbitration misalignments between value and cost will ding Elias' taste. It is baseball beautiful watching him hit. He could be an interesting candidate for a low-key Bo Bichette style "long-term deal" that actually only covers arb seasons. Depth charts wise he is at kind of an interesting crossroads in Elias' portfolio where both Mayo and Basallo's handling affect opportunities for "BAL 1B". O'Hearn outfield has a 9-8 lead on 1B when he has been part of the defense YTD. -
I don’t look at their FIP or xERA, so I feel much more comfortable when they come into a game! Shaky is not the term I’d use for most of them. They’re vulnerable, for the most part. But they get the job done more often than not. With the current exception of Vieira, everyone in our pen is decent. But we’re not really dominant at the back end. -

All the important numbers point to them declining as the season goes on. Not really sure how anyone can have confidence in this group. -

2-4 for his 8th homer yesterday. OPS up to 785. 20 for his last 49 with 5 bbs. 3 homers in that span. Average is up to 285. OBP and slugging still lagging some but way up over the last few weeks. -

They also are scoring 5.10 runs per game, after averaging 4.09 last year. I need to look and see why. They’re dangerous for sure.

I only feel good about Coulombe or Kimbrel when they come into the game. The rest of them are very shaky imo. Most of our pitchers have far lower ERAs than their FIP and/or xERA.
