Sure is. The Hawk was my favorite fighter back in those days. Truly frightening punching power.

He was great.

W.B.A. Junior Middleweight Champion, and W.B.A. Middleweight Champion.

He was outboxing Gerald McLellan for the first 4 rounds, and then McLellan caught up to him and KO'd him in the 5th in 1993.

I'm not having that problem but I am once again having the problem where the page never officially completes loading and it says that it's still reading from "google analytics". It doesn't hurt that much because the entire page is visible on the screen and i can read it. But because the browser doesn't think it's done, it doesn't put the little refresh button up. So I can't immediately hit refresh. I have to hit the "X" button to stop loading, THEN the refresh button appears and I can hit it. As I said, I can read the whole page so it is a very, very minor nuisance. But a minor nuisance nonetheless. I reported it to Tony a few weeks back when it was happening, and it stopped after a few days. It's been happening again, at least since last night.

It's because one of the ad's never completed loading from the server.

Chrome rarely lets me down. Haven't had any of the ad or loading issues.

I'm thinking it might be a graphics driver / card issue with certain peoples' systems. Adobe Flash ads can do some pretty advanced stuff with the GPU. Old GPUs, old drivers, or some combination of the two, can sometimes wreak havoc on peoples' systems, causing "worst-case" performance on a workload that shouldn't be very demanding.

I haven't seen the actual behavior, though. I'm not sure if people are having network lag, rendering lag, or some combination. That's three people who have had issues tonight with the site, just among those posting in the game thread.

Could also be a routing issue still from the global BGP 512k problem.

    • I know. I'm a hand wringer and a whiner when it comes to this team. I sometimes annoy myself with all this baseball nonsense. But really deep down,I'm still the 8 year old who lived and died with every Oriole game. Still. Im that kid. So when this team was really horrible like for most of the second half, it almost made me nauseous just to watch them lose in all kinds of ways. Then all those injuries in a wave. I really felt they weren't going to make the postseason at all. But baseball is a crazy game, and a light switch can be turned on in an instant. Maybe that Santander walk off HR on Thursday threw a switch. Because Friday night, this was a different team. They still strike out a lot, and Burnes was brilliant, but I feel maybe something is moving. Seeing Coluombe come in and strike two batters out, and Webb, not as good, but good enough with a big lead...and to see Coswer and McCann blast two, and Tony again with a HR...It got my juices flowing. Look maybe they wont play well this weekend, maybe they will. And then the dreaded Yankees might break our hearts. But why think that way now.?Urias is coming, then Westburg, then maybe Mounty, and even possible Grayson at the end . If we can somehow put the pieces together and get our mojo back, and have the players contribute, we maybe, just maybe, might have a little ray of hope.I still think this roster is talented when all our pieces are together, and as good as anyone when we are playing well. So, I'm not asking for a miracle. I'm just asking for a chance to see this team with most of the pieces together again, and compete.Maybe it's even a long shot, but I am still that 8 year old living and dying for a chance to see my boys make me proud. And these are my boys.
    • Velocity was 1.5-2mph down across the board. Movement was good, especially the sweeper. The fastballs worry me at that velocity though... not sure he should be immediately high leverage in the way he used to be.
    • Nicely done. Lol. Yes I remember that with Minnesota.
    • Is there any chance of the Orioles catching any of the teams in front of them with large crowds over the weekend?
    • Wells and Cowser are neck and neck in terms of fWAR. Could go either way
    • Joey Ortiz was in the running for the National League ROY for a while, but there’s too many other guys. However, he will almost certainly be a gold glove finalist, and the Brewers are all very happy to have him. I hope Colton wins, but if the Yankees win the division, as seems likely, I think the national love will go back to them
