Jed Lowrie out until ASB with thumb surgery.

Tanaka is out for at least a month with wrist tendonitis.

McCarthy is out until 2016 with TJS.

Indeed, Lowrie becomes our first shortstop candidate for the All-DL team. The only position we have yet to cover is first base.

Tanaka and McCarthy become our 34th and 35th starting pitchers to go down. That means a little over one starting pitcher per team, and we're not even to May.

- Reds SP Homer Bailey moved to the 60 day DL with a sprained elbow. Looks like TJ for him.

- Rockies RP Adam Ottavino, originally put on the DL with triceps inflammation, now has some possible ligament damage.

- Dodgers LF Carl Crawford has a torn oblique, so he'll be down for a while, further clearing their OF backlog after putting Yasiel Puig on the 15-day.

Atlanta - SP Mike Minor is on the 60 day DL with a bum shoulder.

Baltimore - JJ Hardy's missed a month now. How time flies!

Boston - Ryan Hanigan becomes the second Red Sox catcher to miss significant time.

Chicago (NL) - RF Chris Denorfia is down at least a month with a hammy.

New York (NL) - add relievers Vic Black (shoulder) and Bobby Parnell (elbow) to the MASH unit.

Toronto - Maicer Izturis is on the 60 day DL with the dreaded groin strain.

Washington - in an attempt to come back from a knee sprain, Anthony Rendon strained his oblique. Won't play till June.

Hardy started last night in Bowie, expected to make 2 more starts and then get activated from the DL.

Flaherty is right there with him, and has one more day than Hardy to stay on the DL.

Chicago (AL) - former Oriole Matt Albers is expected to be out until mid June with a finger injury.

New York (NL) - RF Cesar Puello moved to the 60-day with a bad back. He has yet to play this season.

Saint Louis - reliever Jordan Walden, who was pitching well, is out 6-10 weeks with a strained shoulder.

A number of guys who got hurt in April are on rehab assignments and will probably get back soon.

Parker had a setback during his most recent rehab start. Suffered an injury to his pitching arm. More to come.

Added Alex Cobb, uncle T.J. came a knockin' on his door. So I've got the starting rotation right now as Wainwright, Fernandez, Darvish, Iwakuma and Parker. Would you bump Parker out for Cobb on your fantasy DL team?
