2015 A.L. East Standings

OFFNY

Recommended Posts

The only game we've lost when leading after 6 innings was the April 13 game where Tommy Hunter entered the game at the start of the 7th inning, up two runs, and promptly allowed four runs. We did have one other blown save, when Zach allowed a run to Boston in the 9th despite no ball leaving the infield, but we came back to win that game. Britton (1.69 ERA, 0.94 WHIP) and O'Day (0.90 ERA, 0.60 WHIP) haven't exactly been chopped liver. Brach and Hunter started off the year shaky but have been very effective lately.

True. Brach earned a 4-out save on Saturday night, and Hunter has only allowed 3 base runners in 6.2 innings since allowing 2 runs on 4/15. He's been hot.

(MAY 4th)

While the Orioles had the day off, the Blue Jays beat the Yankees.

They stole the game late by scoring 3 runs off of the Yankee bullpen in the 8th inning after Chase Whitley shut the Canadians out for 7 innings.

R.A. Dickey pitched 8 innings of 1-run ball for the W.

A sweep of the Blue Jays would be just what the doctor ordered. But given how poorly we have played against the Jays this year, even asking for 2 out of 3 might be a stretch.

I'll settle for 1 out of 1.

Then, go for another one on Tuesday.

Odd tidbit. Every AL East team lost yesterday. It is amazing what happens when you don't play inside the division

It's only 32 games into the season for them, but the Rays' respectable record is the biggest surprise to me so far.

The Yankees very hot start also was a surprise (to me), but they have just lost 4 games in a row, and I hope that that is a sign of them coming back to earth.

With the Orioles, it's the opposite of the Yankees (for me), in that I am hoping that their mediocre start will eventually take a turn for the better.

Fortunately for the Orioles, the Yankees have lost 6 out of their last 7 games.

The Orioles won.

The Rays won.

The Yankees lost.

The Orioles are 1 game behind the Rays and the Yankees in the loss column.

Thursday May 28th, the Orioles play their makeup double header. Then we'll find out where they truly stand!!! Or something like that.
