Chris Tillman Today 2015

Chris had everything working last night which should boost his confidence going into next year against that team. It's not a matter of him facing the Blue Jays, it's having command of all his pitches.

He looked really good for a four to five game stretch back in July before he turned the ankle. In that time he had moved to the center of the rubber and added a two seam FB and since then has induced a higher percentage of ground balls than usual for his career.

If he works hard this winter there are encouraging signs there, but repeating the delivery is still a challenge for him as he's admitted this season.

(vs. BLUE JAYS, 9/28)

Tillman pitched 7.33 innings of 2-run ball tonight.

1 of the runs that he allowed was inherited by Darren O'Day.

He only walked 1 batter, and threw first-pitch strikes to 19 out of th 27 batters that he faced.

P.S. I was at this game, hence my late post/report.

(vs. YANKEES, 10/04)

5.33 innings of 2-run ball.

Tillman walked 4 batters.

Not a good strikes-to-balls ratio: ) 103 (59 Strikes, 44 Balls.)

A very appropriate outing for Tillman's last of 2015. He needs to do better next year. Just a little better across the board (H/9, HR/9, BB/9, K/9).
