Here is a thought.

Why can't the team be a buyer and seller at the same time?

Blockbuster trade, we get a 3 month rental, and move one of our own FAs as a 3 month rental.

This is what I want to see. You can still contend after selling. No different than losing a guy to injury. Look at O's last year for example. Lost Wieters, Manny and 25 games of Davis and we made it to ALCS.

I didn't think it was that bad. When asked about buyer vs seller he mentioned the teams run differential. Talked about getting Draft picks back if players leave and how they offered Matt Wieters a contract extension twice and Davis once. I knew they had offered contracts but didn't know Matt had 2 offers. Sounds like he really wants to get a corner bat. He asked Pedro Martinez to pitch for us in 2012 but Pedro didn't want to delay his HOF status.

Sometimes a few z's are worth a thousand words. I took it to mean the interview was a boring snoozefest.

It wasn't. It was real good with lots of content. I had to take a phone call and was not able to get all of it down. Said that the had talked on Victorino and Kazmir. Talked about Manny's artistry in the center of the diamond. Talked about disappointment with some of the pieces that the had hoped to fill Nick and Nelson's shoes. A lot of good stuff. The Bundy segment itself was VERY revealing.

Told us that Bundy would be something to be concerned about next year, did not seem to want to talk about him much at all. I just have a feeling...

Sounds like Hunter Harvey could still pitch this year.

Can you reveal it?

As I said, I had to take a call and did not get a chance to transcribe that bpart. If someone else has access or can speak on it...it sounded to me like Dan had moved on from Bundy in a significant manner. My opinion.

Another translation is that it was as exciting as the Orioles offense. Dan says and Dan does, nothing.

I can see your point if you feel that way. To me, I liked hearing what I heard instead of the talking head speculation of what his thoughts were.

He said his arm was bothering him and how he had to be on the team. I don't get the Bundy issue as much myself. We have kept Rule 5 guys before and if he is hurt just put him on the DL.
