He was able to give the Orioles back an unburdened front office. Aside from budget. And for that you should all be grateful. It was not like that before.

Let's not pretend that Machpail wasn't a "Yes" man too. If there were credit due I'd give it to him. Being our GM is an impossible job. DD took us to the playoffs on retreads and diamonds in the rough. Therefore I give DD credit for making the playoffs and Machpail credit for his record as GM of the team.
