The Astros did wind up losing that game ........ and the next one, also.

And we also found out what they are made of, when facing the adversity of a 3 games to 2 deficit in a championship series

Yes, I always have a flashback to the 1979 World Series whenever a team is behind in a series.  Of course, there we were ahead 3 games to 1 and lost 3 in a row, including two at home....grrrrr.

Altuve is the man ........ he put real pressure on the throw and catch, but is a real goat if he is thrown out there.

Somewhat reminiscent of Enos Slaughter's Mad Dash to home plate from Game 7 of the 1946 World Series.

Unfortunately for us, it happened to the Orioles just now in a regular-season game against the White Sox ........ Nicky Delmonico scored all the way from 1st base on a single, when Steve Wilkerson (just like Johnny Pesky in Game Seven of the 1946 World Series) fell asleep and assumed that the baserunner was going to stop at 3rd base.

Similarity was 3-2 pitch,  but Harry Brecheen’s double was much more in the gap than Abreu’s.
