Can Schoop play third?  Maybe Mountcastle can play 2nd; he's been an infielder but just doesn't have the arm for the left side.

Depending on the strength of the need of the trading partner, they could get at least one strong prospect, maybe one who's nearly ready.  That's still better than the letting-him-walk comp pick (though much, much less than if we'd executed the trade at the optimum time).

The bat can only carry a player but so far, if they have to play the field.

The O's sadly will not admit defeat with Davis this year, and that sadly is one boat anchor we will drag around FOR A LONG time I fear. Bucks biggest weakness is his undying loyalty to a veteran player he will let the ship sink while still playing them. IT's the main reason he's worn out his welcome at other places IMHO.
