Is this the game where Tillman gets removed with a 0.0 innings pitched?

So, for me, watching the Orioles right now has become something that I'm going to call Calamity Porn.  Calamity porn is when you watch something SO horrendously bad that is actually becomes--paradoxically-- enjoyable.

Now I want to firstly say I pull for the O's to win every game.. have all my life.  Probably always will.  With that said...

Has anyone started to become weirdly enamored with just how poorly this team can play?  I've started to.. heck when I cannot watch the games for whatever reason, I tell my wife, "Going to check to see how much we've lost by today."

It's like when you watch one of the various almost-perfect-game-games that opposing pitchers throw against us.  You send the entire game desperately wishing we knock a few out or just get a few hits.. do not let us actually get no-hit.. But then.. but then, something starts to change.  Maybe you'll get to see a perfect game?

CAN Chris Davis actually strike out 5 times.. again?

What bone-headed throw is Santander going to make on this play?

Surely we can't give back the single run we've scored.. for the 4th time this game?

Hey, we made contact.. how is Manny going to get thrown out on the bases this game?

Will a run get on the board via a wild pitch or passed ball?

Is this the game where Tillman gets removed with a 0.0 innings pitched?

I could go on, but you get the point.  In a sort of masochistic way, I'm finding myself fascinated with exactly how bad we're playing.  I don't like it.  I want to win every game 162-0, but here's where I find myself...

You have to be! When your down 7 runs and NO OUTS and your starter just set a 100+ year old MLB record by giving up 4 HR's, and recording no outs, and now the reliever comes in and gives up 3 more and your down 10 in the bottom of the 1st at HOME you have to find some way to entertain yourself to their every game routine of...

IT'S THE TUNE IN AND SEE HOW BAD ARE WE TONIGHT!

Like watching a train wreck you can't look away! LOL ??

I’m basically hate watching at this point and it’s still 2+ weeks until Memorial Day.

I had company over and as such, wasn't going to watch the game.  After they left and I saw it was 10-0 in the 1st, I had to tune in.. we could have made a run at 30-3.

That was my thought as well...I was at the 30-3 game so I wanted to make sure I was there in case they broke their own record.

I want more losses, in more horrifyingly tragic ways. Let's lean way into this. The worse we get, the better off the organization will be. The more shame is put upon leadership.

Sign me up. When I saw the score for first time, after about the 4th inning, I couldn't help but LOL. I seriously wasn't even mad, like it doesn't even bother me anymore. I'm checking the scores now hoping to see them losing. I want that #1 pick, might as well get something worthwhile out of this disaster.

This.

Because if the Orioles go on a four game winning streak, I have a feeling our front office will decide to keep everyone and say we're turning it around.  I HATE to root for losses, but wins will give this front office a misguided, false sense of hope.

Sort of reminds me of the analogy of the controlled burn of a forest. It’s ugly, but it’s necessary.

“Controlled burning is any fire intentionally ignited to meet specific land management objectives, such as to reduce flammable fuels, restore ecosystem health, recycle nutrients, or prepare an area for new trees or vegetation. ... However, it is important to realize that not all fire is bad”

Burn, baby, burn.

This team has one winning streak. ONE!!!

It was 2 games. That fluke was part of taking 3 of 4 in NY. Which is still the only road series that we have won. Because it’s the only road series where we have produced a win.

A four game winning streak at home or away would constitute a turn around.

I remember going out that night when the Orioles were up 3-0.  Come home to check the final score and I thought it was a mistake.

Had to check 5 other websites before I believed it was real.
