#24 Prospect Leonardo Rodriguez - RHP

I found the differences between Tony's take and Luke's take interesting.  Tony felt that Rodriguez has done "a good job of using the pitch around the edges of the zone, keeping it out of the middle well."  Luke felt that, "He throws a lot of strikes but has below average command."  I read that as being two opposing views, but maybe I'm just misunderstanding what's being said.

I'm going to side with whichever is most optimistic because you need to have hope to get through this season.

Haha. Typically Luke is higher on guys than me, but this is one of the cases where we reversed opinions. I think there's some real upside there and in the start I saw live and a couple that I saw on video, I thought his fastball command was decent. I really think if he goes to the pen, adds about 20 pounds to his frame, that we could have a power fastball-slider pen guy.

It is a body and a profile you can dream on. Glad to see a guy like this only in the mid 20s on the prospect list. In years past he would have been much higher (ie. Jhon Peluffo at 16 in 2016).
