Seeing NYY as -350 betting favorite on ESPN app. Not available at site I use (likely due to odds imbalance) ?

Wow, -350 is insane for any MLB team. I don't think the Yankees should be -350 against the Marlins right now.

Bovada has them at -370! (O's still only +285 though, same as the sites that have the Yankees at +315).

Davis not in the lineup. Smith at DH, Nunez at first.

Would rather see Davis than Smith, to be honest. Davis will have plenty of opportunities to be out of the lineup when Mountcastle is up.

I would rather two better players were on the roster ?

Wojo appeared against the Yankees only once last year, on August 6.  He didn't fare particularly well, charged with five runs on six hits in four innings in a game the Orioles eventually lost, 9-4.

He did manage something that a lot of Oriole pitchers didn't last year, which was to hold Gleyber Torres in check.  Torres batted only twice in the game, popping up and striking out, before being removed due to an injured side.

He probably hurt himself swinging too hard, after having seen three Yankee batters hit home runs before he came to bat in that inning.

The least-hyped home opener in Orioles history ???

Almost certainly. Salient/interesting observation.

A lot of teams could probably say that, particularly the ones who opened on the road (as the Orioles did.)

You'd probably have to go back to the WW-II seasons (1942-1945) to find something comparable in terms of minimal hype for season-opening games.

YES Network did a nice little piece on Mo Gaba on their pre-game show.

Thanks for the info, Bill.

I'll check it out on the rerun of the game, later tonight.
