If you take out pitching, them you have to add PAs, SBs, and defensive metrics too (at least not the negative of being a DH).  I don't know how far up on the "top X of Barry Bonds" meme, but it moves the needle.  No whining here about Bonds/PED.  Just recognizing the different eras of Bonds' career.  And giving more realistic credit in the hypothetical of Ohtani not pitching.

Jesse Barfield floor defensively IMO.  And even if jumps and route running are suspect (and.maybe they aren't) he has speed to cover.

Ohtani with 6 HR in his last 6 games.   He and Betts go back-to-back in the bottom of the ninth to win.   Ohtani is a once in a lifetime talent.   Dodgers going Ohtani, Betts, Freeman at the top of the lineup isn't fair.   They are firing on all cylinders.   Meanwhile,  my team.......
