Westburg struggling in AA Bowie is a great experience for him. The Melewski article references his struggles with the inside fastball and velocity. I like the way his development has happened this year, with the struggles happening now in AA. It gives him something to work specifically to improve on over the off season. His development has been a success this year.

This makes me a little nervous but hopefully it's just a matter of making adjustments.

As advanced and intelligent a hitter as he is, should be just a matter of time and experience. Adjustments made when necessary.

Good insights here. Basically Westburg is getting busted inside with premium velocity. He’a having to adjust to that. The article described him as a “grinder”. His struggles at AA doesn’t really bother me. Let him adjust. I still want to see him in the AFL. 
 

The more ABs to adjust the better.

He might be getting busted inside but I am skeptical that AA pitches command is that good that that is all he's seeing right now.   He's slumping.  It happens.  Might have even happened at Aberdeen.

Let's hope AA is just a bump and not a detour.  Jammer seems to be very high on Westburg.

Just catching up with this string. Understandable nervousness. A lot of us were nervous in May about reports that Adley was having problems catching up with heat. That seems to have worked out.

A triple and homer tonight so far.  Looks like he's adjusting or just breaking out of a slump.

OPS up like 200 pts in two days.

Even with his slump in AA, he kept a good batting eye. The OBP stayed respectable the whole time, considering his BA.

He looked good last night. Didn't stick out in a bad way playing at short and he is a big guy. Think even if he doesn't work at short, he could easily survive at 3rd
