Game Notes

  • The game is an MLBTV free game of the day
  • The Orioles are 4-3 in rubber matches (the 3rd game of a 3 game series where the first two games have been split)
  • From Roch:  the Orioles have lost the last 12 games Keegan Akin has appeared in.
  • Even scoring 10 runs last night, the Orioles were just 1/4 with runners in scoring position.  Still, that .250 is way better than the  rest of August which is around .140
  • The Orioles have scored 18 runs in 2 games, their highest since June 28-29 when they scored 22 in Houston.
  • Austin Hays is out of the lineup for the second straight day.   He did of course pinch hit in the 8th and play LF In the 9th last night, so I doubt he is dealing with an injury.  Since he hasn't been hitting well, especially vs righties, it appears Hyde might have a LH/RH platoon of Hays and Stewart going.
