I’m genuinely sorry about Wells, I really like feel good stories, and it doesn’t look like his is going to have a happy ending. The jury may still be out on Greene as well, but Sulser is getting up in years. He’s been ok, certainly worth the waiver claim, but if he’s one of our seven bullpen guys at the end of next season, it will be a very bad season.

Sulser?  I'm not a big fan of his, but he's had a very solid season - with a 71/23 K/W ratio in 57.2 innings, a 2.97 ERA and 1.20 WHIP.  At 31, he could have several more solid seasons left.  He gets paid something like the veteran minimum.  I'm not excited about keeping him, but he's earned another year.  We have much bigger issues than whether or not Sulser is on our roster at the end of next season.

I don’t disagree, but I think my point is still valid. If Sulser is one of our top seven bullpen guys next September, Something is wrong. I’m not saying he’s bad, but we should have plenty of better guys by then.
