JTrea, your optimism has been remarkable, but its time to let it go. Not only are we not getting Tex, but this is now gonna be the ultimate slap in the face, screw you that he could EVER imagine.

It wasn't bad enough that MLB moved a franchise into the Orioles backyard at the angst and argument of Angelos.

Its not bad enough that after 11 straight losing seasons, we can't get top talent to come here.

Its not bad enough that we play in the division with the two teams who spend a combined $400+ million in payroll, and a third team who just went to the World Series.

Its not bad enough that our attendance has dropped below 2 million for the first time since moving to OPACY.

But now, the hometown boy, the guy we all depended on to help turn the franchise back around, is going to the enemy, the pain in the arse neoghbor who moved in next door, took away our friends, has loud barking dogs all night long, and he goes to play for them, laughing at us as he goes.

If this is true, then I say enjoy oyur money Tex. You are no better than any of the other paid mercenaries in MLB!

Is everybody really FREAKING THE HELL OUT over a post by Roch? Didn't we already figure the Nats would offer the most out of all involved? Just because they are offering the most doesn't necessarily mean they are "taking the lead" in anything.

I agree some what. Tex did say he wants to play closed to home which would be the Orioles 1st and Nats 2nd and he did say he wants to be on a team that is or will be contending. No offense to the Nats but the Orioles have a way better Minor League system and will be contending way before the Nats. The only thing The Nats have is the money.

Ain't gonna happen buddy. Angelos will get Tex, I'm not worried about that. He won't let the Nationals take away his legacy...

Angelos is nothing if not adamant. He wants Tex.

The Only way the above statement is true without a doubt is this scenario. Angelos tells AM he wants Tex...AM tells PGA that he will handle the negotiations & get it done. Otherwise the Orioles big offer would be out there(In the public)by now. I think at some point in the 11th hour the Orioles will get aggressive. If Boras brings the above offer to the Orioles I'd imagine they'd match it with a understand that its a sign now understanding.

The only problem with the above offer from the Nationals is this....Is it for real??? There are a few here questioning Belks sources & the validity of the "Wow" offer. Fact or Fiction ???? Only the Nationals know for sure. The way the rumors have been flying its easy to believe its BS!
