From what we've heard, haven't the offers been pretty much the same for over a week ?

Yop. All the reported offers have been pretty much the same from the beginning. I don't think anyone knows what is going on. For all we know, Tex is close to completing a deal with the Montreal Expos. When its over then we'll know.

"Friday, Boras called several teams to determine what they were willing to offer Teixeira, one of the baseball people said. The two spoke on the condition of anonymity because they did not want to jeopardize their access to sensitive information."

I know if I were I were in Tex's shoes and I really wanted to come home.I would have already made my decision.I mean be real 20 million dollars A year isn't good enough for people these days.Hell,I'd be happy with 1 million a year.

IMO I don't really think it is that amount of money per year, I think it is the amount of years. I think he is looking for a deal that may finish his career and that is what he is waiting to get from the O's.

That is what's starting to frustrate me about this whole ordeal. Thanks to the economy I have to bust my hump 40 hrs a week just to get by and these players/agents worry about getting an extra 20-30 mil just to play a kids game six months of the year. Even thought they're already set for life from their previous contracts.

I agree. If the reports of these offers are accurate, he ought to be taking a look at the economic news every day and realize its time to end this. He already looks like a typical greedy athlete. I think it is time for all teams to say "you have until midnight tonight or our offer is off the table."

At some point, sanity has to prevail.
