Cano...not so much.

The last 7 games have been rocky for Cano, but he's pitched to like a 3.00 ERA over his past 30 games. It's not elite, but it's pretty darn good for a reliever.

Dusty does us a favor.   Keeps Singleton in even though Perez has an OPS vs LH over 200 points lower than vs RH and Singleton isn't very good to start with.   He didn't go with the RH pinch hitter to force a change.

And we botch the play.

The 100 pitch mark is more due to pitcher effectiveness at that stage in the game than due to pitcher use/abuse.

It's not just pitch counts but also innings limits.  Pitchers aren't allowed to build up their arms like they did for most of baseball's history and there isn't a lot of evidence to do it.  I do admit that kids playing baseball year round might be a contributing factor.
